ABOUT THE KIT
The Porsche - mObridge iPod/iPhone Module allows you to connect your iPod or iPhone directly to the factory stereo in your Porsche. You can start enjoying crisp clean CD quality music with constant charging, stereo head unit control, album/artist stereo text display and steering wheel control, ALL from your factory stereo. Imagine having access to over 10,000 MP3s at the touch of a button! There are two Porsche compatible integration kits for iPod. The mo-Porsche-40 fiber-optic kit is for newer Porsche vehicles with navigation and the mo-Porsche-41 fiber-optic kit is for newer Porsche vehicles without navigation.

HOW IT WORKS
Your iPod or iPhone connects to the Porsche - mObridge iPod/iPhone Module with the included docking cable. The Porsche - mObridge iPod/iPhone Module then connects to the CD changer port of your factory stereo via the included fiber-optic connection cable. The mObridge module with Bluetooth kit has an additional connection of the microphone which will need to be installed in proximity of the driver, usually on the windshield pillar or visor. Incoming calls are heard over the speakers of the stereo system and any music is paused or silenced when answering incoming calls.

FAQ'S BEFORE PURCHASING...
Will my factory 6-CD changer be disabled with this unit installed?
Yes, the factory CD changer must be disabled to have the iPod kit integrated into the factory radio system.
If I do not have a factory CD-changer installed can I still have this integration kit installed?
Yes, however your factory radio will have to be programmed for the radio to recognize our kit as an audio source. This can be done at your local Porsche dealership.
What kind of information will I see on my PCM display?
You will see Playlists, Artists, Albums, Genre, and songs. These categories show up as lists on the factory navigation screen.
How do I know if my Porsche's factory stereo is compatible with Bluetooth hands free calling?
If your Porsche’s head unit has the phone buttons for answering calls then it will work. Remember to select the Bluetooth Kit option when ordering. There are two separate modules for Porsche, one without Bluetooth and one with Bluetooth. The Bluetooth Kit option is not a feature that can be added later.
Will the music stop playing or pause when an incoming call is answered?
Yes. Whether you are playing music from your iPod or from an FM station on the stereo, the music will be silenced in order to answer the call. The bluetooth integrates seemlessly this way.
Can I install this unit myself?
It is recommended that this integration kit be installed by a professional that has experience installing fiber-optic systems. It can be installed directly behind the navigation unit or at the CD-changer location.
How long will an install usually take?
Installs could range between 3 to 5 hours and up depending on the installer and the model of Porsche.
