THE DICE MODULE ALLOWS you to connect your iPod or iPhone directly to the factory stereo in your Mercedes. You can start enjoying crisp clean CD quality music with constant charging, stereo head unit control, album/artist stereo text display and steering wheel control, ALL from your factory stereo. Imagine having access to over 10,000 MP3s at the touch of a button! Plus select the Bluetooth kit and your module will also give your Mercedes the advanced capabilities of hands-free calling (not compatible with Mercedes factory installed 10-key dial pad).

HOW IT WORKS
YOUR iPOD AND iPHONE CONNECTS to the Mercedes iPod/iPhone DICE Module with the included docking cable. The Mercedes iPod/iPhone DICE Module then connects to your factory stereo through your Mercedes fiber-optic connections usually located at the CD changer or behind your factory stereo. You will be able to control your iPod from your Mercedes radio and steering wheel buttons. You will also be able to change tracks, playlists, albums, and chapters from the very buttons you change CD tracks and discs with. The iPod or iPhone is completely unlocked when connected, meaning you can manually access your iPod or iPhone at any time. There's even an additional aux input for connecting any device with a headphone jack like Sat Radio, Mp3 player, etc. Add the Bluetooth kit and enjoy the advanced capabilities of *hands-free calling in your Mercedes (*requires additional connection of the included microphone which will need to be installed in proximity of the driver, usually on the windshield pillar or visor). Incoming calls are heard over the speakers of the stereo system and any music is paused or silenced when answering incoming calls.

IMPORTANT NOTE: THERE ARE THREE iPod/iPhone integration kits; the i-Mercedes-D2B kit, the mo-Mercedes-42 or mo-Mercedes-43. Older models with D2B fiber optics require the i-Mercedes-D2B kit. Newer models with MOST fiber optics will need the mo-Mercedes-42 (for models WITH navigation) or mo-Mercedes-43 (for models WITHOUT Navigation). Limitation: 2 - 2003 May be compatible. Verify head unit type before ordering.
Limitation: 3 - Special (long) harness maybe needed for G-Wagon if mounting in rear of the vehicle, particularly if equiped with SAT Radio.
Limitation: 4 - for listed 2009 models, please make sure it is COMAND or Audio 20/50 and not the new NTG2.5 or Audio30 headunits. Mercedes could change over to the new headunits mid-production but for these models they are still fitting the old COMAND and Audio20/50.
Limitation: 5 - Early 2005 cars may be D2B. Verify closely 2005 car is either COMAND MOST or Audio 20/50 for compatibility.
